Netflix’s “Dumplin” Now Streaming
In Netflix’s adaptation of the popular novel by Julie Murphy, Danielle Macdonald and Jennifer Aniston take on the pageant world in this body positive film that teaches us all a lesson in inclusion.
Already nominated this award season for it’s Dolly Parton soundtrack (particularly the show stopping “Girl in the Movies”), the music in the film weaves in and out of Dolly hits/new additions and score seamlessly, perfectly accompanying the journey of our main character, Willowdean Dickson, as she and her friends enter her mother’s annual beauty pageant in hopes to send a message of acceptance for women of all shapes and sizes.
